This wootz “saber” blade resulted from a failed heat treat on a longer tulwar; I was doing a traditional Japanese-style quench, and unfortunately developed a few small cracks near the base and tip. The portion in between I reworked into this “fun-size” sword blade. The chemistry of this blade is very similar to the historical Indian blades, being very low in Phosphorus.
