This small kard is forged from an ingot containing roughly 1.6% carbon and very little other alloying, thus being very similar to the material made in India for over a millenia. The blade has been hardened and tempered and has an edge hardness of roughly 60HRC. I have sharpened this kard and it is ready to be put into service as a very effective tool or weapon.
