Kiawe is a relative of mesquite and grows in the hot, dry areas on the leeward coasts of most Hawaiian islands. It is a hard, dense wood with lovely grain and mild chatoyance.

All surfaces have been finished with food-safe wax, applied while hot for maximum penetration into the wood.
