These small kards are forged from a wootz ingot that falls within the historical averages but does not follow a specific regional chemistry. These are a low-phosphorus chemistry, though, so I have heat treated them in the modern fashion to produce edge hardness of roughly 60HRC. I have made these with reinforced tips for improved penetrating capabilities.

The handle has been left “as-forged” except for a few small touches of the grinder to improve the aesthetics of the profile. The forged surface provides just enough texture for a sure grip without feeling abrasive in the hand.

Also pictured are my “universal” kard sheaths. These are NOT included with the purchase, but I can easily make a version that would fit these kards that can be ordered separately.
