This small kard is forged from a wootz ingot that falls within the historical averages but does not follow a specific regional chemistry. It contains only trace amounts of phosphorus, so has been heat treated to perform much like modern knives.

The handle has a plain, filed finish, while the blade has a machine-finish. In the past I have hand-sanded the blades of these kards, but the combination of the plain handle and the machine-finished blade make this a more economical option.

Also pictured are my “universal” kard sheaths. These are not included with the purchase, but would fit this kard and can be ordered separately.
